On a shop floor, ventilation is not a comfort item. It is about getting the heat off the machines and the fumes away from the people, at an air change rate that suits what is actually being done in the building.
Cooling the whole volume is usually the wrong answer and always the expensive one. More often the fix is high-level extract, deliberate make-up air at low level, and spot cooling only where people stand.
We plan this work around shift patterns. Everything we have done on a factory floor has been fitted between shifts or over a planned shutdown — no line has stopped for us.

Can you air condition a factory floor?
Sometimes, but it is rarely the right question. Usually the answer is ventilation plus spot cooling where people work — a fraction of the cost, and it actually solves the heat problem.
Do you work around production shifts?
Always. We agree the access windows before the job starts and work to them. Nothing about our programme should require a line to stop.
What about corrosive or humid environments?
Materials get chosen for the environment rather than for cost — that matters in plants where the air is not dry and neutral. We will say plainly where the cheaper option will not last.
Do you handle basement car park ventilation?
Yes, including extract, make-up air and the fan arrangement. It is a common retrofit in older commercial buildings in the city.
