We fit the system, then we keep it running.

Airtrix has been an air conditioning contractor in Chennai since 2006. Everything below is done by our own engineers — design and sizing, installation, commissioning, and the maintenance afterwards.

What we do

Six things, done properly

Airtrix is a contracting firm, not a showroom. We size the system, install it, and then look after it — which is the part that decides whether you are happy in year three.

01

Sizing and selection

We work out what the building actually needs — heat load, occupancy, how the space gets used — before anyone talks about brands. Undersized systems never catch up and oversized ones short-cycle, so this is where the money is saved.

02

Supply and installation

Supply, install, pipe, wire and commission. We are multi-brand dealers, so the equipment gets chosen for the job rather than because it is the only thing we sell. Our own fitters do the work — nothing is sublet.

03

Maintenance and breakdown cover

Annual contracts with a fixed service schedule, and a number that gets answered when something stops at ten at night. Most of our work still comes from customers we installed for years ago.

04

Clean rooms and controlled areas

Filtered air, room pressure cascades and tight temperature and humidity bands for pharma, labs and medical areas — with the test results and as-built records an auditor will ask for.

05

Kitchen and industrial ventilation

Hoods, extract, make-up air, basement and toilet ventilation. Commercial kitchens are their own discipline: get the pressure balance wrong and the whole restaurant smells of the range.

06

Retrofit and replacement

Replacing tired equipment in a building that cannot close. We phase the work, keep the parts of the system that are still good, and hand each area back before opening up the next one.

In detail

Every service, written out properly

What each job actually involves, what goes into the quote, and the questions people ask us before booking one.

How a job runs

No surprises after the quote

This is the sequence for almost everything we take on, from a single ductable unit to a full guest-floor replacement.

01

We come and look

Site visits are free anywhere in Chennai. We measure up, look at the electrical supply, work out where the outdoor units can actually go, and ask how the space gets used through the day.

02

You get a written quote

Itemised — equipment, ducting, piping, electricals, labour — with the make and model against each line. If there is a cheaper way to get the same result, it will be on the sheet as an option.

03

We agree how the work runs

Which areas, in what order, at what hours. In a hotel or a hospital this matters more than the price, so it gets settled before anyone lifts a spanner.

04

Install and commission

Our own fitters, our own supervision. At the end we balance the air, prove the controls, and hand over drawings that match what is actually installed.

05

We stay on the number

Most customers move onto an annual contract after the warranty year. Either way, the same team picks up when you call, and they already know your site.

Maintenance

Three ways to keep us on call

Most customers move onto a contract once the warranty year is up. The right one depends on how old the equipment is and how much a failure costs you.

Comprehensive AMC

Scheduled service plus parts and gas charging included. Suits properties where downtime costs more than the contract.

  • Quarterly service visits
  • Parts and refrigerant covered
  • Priority breakdown response
  • Service records kept per unit

Non-comprehensive AMC

The same service schedule, with parts charged as used. The common choice for newer installations still under warranty.

  • Quarterly service visits
  • Parts billed at cost
  • Breakdown call-out included
  • Annual condition report

One-off and breakdown

No contract, just a call. Useful if you want to see how we work before committing to anything.

  • Same-day response in Chennai
  • Fixed call-out charge
  • Written diagnosis before repair
  • Quote for anything major

Contract pricing depends on the number of units, their age and how far out of town the site is. Send us an equipment list and we will price it properly rather than guess.

Equipment

What we install

We are not tied to one manufacturer. Daikin, Mitsubishi, Blue Star, Hitachi, Voltas, LG, Carrier, Panasonic, IFB — the system gets picked for the building.

VRF / VRV

Variable refrigerant flow

One outdoor unit, many indoor units, each room on its own setting. What most offices and hotels get today.

Chilled water

Chillers and AHUs

For buildings big enough that refrigerant piping stops making sense. Plant room, pumps, headers and air handling units.

Ductable

Ducted split and package

Concealed above the ceiling, air delivered through ducting. Restaurants, showrooms, halls, small office floors.

Terminal

Cassette, hi-wall and FCU

Room-level units where a duct route is not worth building. Quick to fit, easy to service, easy to replace.

Ventilation

Exhaust and fresh air

Kitchen hoods, basement and toilet extract, factory air changes, and the make-up air that has to come back in.

Controlled

Clean rooms and cold rooms

Filtered, pressure-controlled areas for pharma and labs, and cold rooms for kitchens and storage.

Not sure which of these you need?

Most people ring up describing a problem rather than a system — a room that never gets cold, a kitchen that smells, a bill that has doubled. That is a perfectly good place to start.
